Go grab the first three personal care products in your bathroom. It's ok; we'll wait right here.
Now read the ingredient list...................... still reading? Yeah. We know. There's stuff in there that no non-chemist can pronounce. Stuff you wouldn't touch if you found it sitting out by itself. And yet, you put it on your face, in your hair, in your eyes! Gah!
There's a reason companies have to add all that junk. It's because of shelf life. We have become accustomed to buying large bottles of shampoo, lotion, face cream, etc. and not replacing them for months, or even years!! At White & Elm, we don't want you to put that gunk on your skin – or on your family's skin! We don't want to handle it in processing. Nor do we want the waste and byproducts to get dumped into the earth. That is why we are committed to all-natural, organic skincare products. We can do that by consciously formulating our products. What does that mean?? We rely upon natural ingredients that not only help to preserve our products, but also are powerhouse ingredients that benefit your skin. The result is skincare that is natural, good for you and fresh!
Like a French woman who shops the market for fresh bread and cheese every few days, we want you to run out and replace product regularly. In this way, the serums you apply to your most sensitive skin will always be fresh and at their peak potency. Like a proper baguette, your skincare should not contain chemical soup.

While you may be cleansing, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen, daily. If you’re not exfoliating, your skin isn’t as healthy as it could be. It is very important to exfoliate your face and body all year round. But after the winter, sloughing away all that dead skin seems even more necessary.
For sure you need to be wearing a daily moisturizer with a minimum of an SPF 15. You also need to look for sunscreens that are labeled Broad Spectrum because this means they have passed specific laboratory testing that shows they protect against both UVA and UVB rays. If you plan to be in direct sun for more than a few hours, please reapply your sunscreen. Also, if you are planning on swimming or sweating heavily opt for a Water-Proof formula as well. It's best to avoid chemical sunscreens altogether because let's face it; we don't want the chemicals we put on our skin to end up in our blood stream. Also, because we don't yet know the impact that nanoparticles will have on our health, it's best to use mineral sunscreens that specifically use non-nano minerals.
