I am up before anyone in the house, as usual. The sun is just peaking above the horizon; it’s my favorite time of the day.
I sneak out of bed and make my way to the bathroom where I cleanse my face with my Sweet Almond Foaming Cleanser. It awakens my senses and refreshes my mind. I use one pump of my Rosehip and Argan Antioxidant Serum to protect and revive my skin. The last thing I want is to distress my skin first thing in the morning. the Serum protects my skin from sun damage and free radicals on my morning run.
I scarf down a banana, lace up my running shoes and set out into the brisk morning air.
I like to stick to the rule of thirty minutes or 3 miles a day.
One mile in, my lungs are waking up; a sensation I have come to love.
I am distracted by the music pumping through my earphones and the beautiful scenery around me. There are few people out at this hour and I feel as if I have these hills and sunrise to myself.
Running is my time for self-reflection, the only real time of the day that I have to myself.
I arrive home, my face red and breathing heavy.
I mix up and apply my Spirulina Superfood Mask and use the time it takes to dry to stretch. My favorite post-run yoga pose being “legs up the wall”. This pose reduces edema and can help with my sore, tired leg muscles.
I wash off the mask, re-apply my Rosehip and Argan Antioxidant Serum and add some Pomegranate Renewing Eye Serum to treat and protect the delicate skin around my eyes.
At this point the rest of the world begins to awaken. My time of solace is over but well spent.

While you may be cleansing, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen, daily. If you’re not exfoliating, your skin isn’t as healthy as it could be. It is very important to exfoliate your face and body all year round. But after the winter, sloughing away all that dead skin seems even more necessary.
For sure you need to be wearing a daily moisturizer with a minimum of an SPF 15. You also need to look for sunscreens that are labeled Broad Spectrum because this means they have passed specific laboratory testing that shows they protect against both UVA and UVB rays. If you plan to be in direct sun for more than a few hours, please reapply your sunscreen. Also, if you are planning on swimming or sweating heavily opt for a Water-Proof formula as well. It's best to avoid chemical sunscreens altogether because let's face it; we don't want the chemicals we put on our skin to end up in our blood stream. Also, because we don't yet know the impact that nanoparticles will have on our health, it's best to use mineral sunscreens that specifically use non-nano minerals.
