Oil. Why are we so afraid to use it on our skin? As I said in this earlier post, the right oils are actually GOOD for your skin!
So let’s all just agree that oil based products are, in the very least, worth looking into, okay? Okay!
We’ve already talked about oil cleansers but what about oil-based moisturizers?
Young-looking, radiant skin is skin at its healthiest and healthy skin means a wealth of oils! As we age, we produce less of the oils that give our skin a healthy glow. So, our job now is to add them back!
When natural and essential oils are applied to the skin, they are absorbed directly into the top layers of the epidermis, where they instantly go to work to repair and protect. The result is healthy, glowing skin and no clogged pores!
Compared to synthetic products, natural oils and oil-based moisturizers (Such as our Antioxidant Serum) bring all of the benefits with none of the disadvantage of that waxy build-up.
So… what are you waiting for? Go give oil moisturizers a try!

Creating a daily skincare ritual for yourself gives you an opportunity to experience the moment. By committing to a ritual we not only see the immediate benefit for our skin, but we also begin to see patterns that evolve. Much like in yoga when your asana feels different from day-to-day. Only when you begin to see patterns can you begin to understand your skin.
The White & Elm team are passionate about natural and non-toxic, plant-based skin care. We believe that no woman should have to compromise her health for her beauty. Naturally, WE focus on doing right by the environment around us and the environment of our bodies. We proudly participate in the Environmental Working Group's EWG Verified™ program.
While you may be cleansing, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen, daily. If you’re not exfoliating, your skin isn’t as healthy as it could be. It is very important to exfoliate your face and body all year round. But after the winter, sloughing away all that dead skin seems even more necessary.
